"Repeat After Me" is a memory game. Its rule is very simple. A random sequence is played, then you have to play it back. If you get it right, the sequence gets longer...
When the game appears, each key blinks in turn, clockwise. Do not try to replay that sequence, it's just a demo, the game hasn't started yet!
To start the game, just tap the picture ("Score" at the bottom left goes from gray to white). A key blinks. The color of the score (bottom left) changes from red to green, meaning it's now your turn to play. So, tap the key. If you get it right, the color of the score changes from green to red, meaning it's not your turn to play. The game replays the previous sequence with one more random key added at the end. Then you get the green light to play back that longer sequence.
If you beat the Hi-Score, its color turns green.
If you make a mistake, a special sound is played, and the correct sequence is replayed.
After the initial demo, or when the game is over, you have the opportunity to change the repetition mode (just tap the icon near the gray Hi-Score):
- Left icon (3 dots in a green circle): repetitions are allowed;
- Right icon (3 dots in a red circle): repetitions are not allowed (each key in the sequence is different from the previous one).
In that same context, you also have the possibility of resetting the Hi-Score (the one that's not gray, if you want to reset the other one, first change the repetition mode): tap the Hi-Score.
You should try playing with headphones, as the sound is stereo. For example, when the left key blinks, sound goes (mostly) to the left ear. It might help in memorizing the sequence.
If you want to play without sound, just bring the volume down to 0 using the hardware volume control button. The vibrator will then be used to signal a mistake.
At the end of the game, you can play again (just tap the picture) or quit (use the hardware escape button).
